Clinical Job Openings

CLINICAL

New    Dietitian (89.18) .8  is responsible for planning and organizing the activities of the Food and Nutrition Services Department to provide quality food services for patients, customers of the Columbus St Café, and special events. He/she provides a consultative role to the Food and Nutrition Services department to assure compliance with standards of practice and regulatory requirements. Provides nutrition education to inpatients, outpatients, and the community, and serves as a consultant to the physician in all areas of diet therapy and nutrition. The Dietitian works closely with the Food Services Department team members. He/she also works closely with team member wellness, diabetes education, occupational health, weight management and other hospital nutrition related education programs. He/she is responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of the DSMES service.

 

New    LPN (31.18) (84.18) 1.0 FT Positions open to start a new service that will see patients in the late afternoon and early evenings. Service will be open 6 to 7 days per week. This position is responsible to administer nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of the physician. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties. Assists physician with office procedures, collection and maintenance of accurate patient documents. Ensures that exam rooms are cleaned and stocked, working toward maintaining a safe and clean environment.

 

Medical Assistant (32.18) 1.0 FT Positions open to start a new service that will see patients in the late afternoon and early evenings. Service will be open 6 to 7 days per week. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties. Assists physician with office procedures, collection and maintenance of accurate patient documents. Upon clinician direction, the Medical Assistant is responsible for obtaining HMO referral authorization when needed. The medical assistant is responsible for maintaining CPR certification as well as complying with other hospital regulations.

 

Certified Medical Assistant (67.18) .9 This position is responsible for support of the physician in providing quality medical care to patients as well as monitoring physician’s schedule and making appropriate adjustments. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties. Assists physician with office procedures, collection and maintenance of accurate patient documents. Ensures that exam rooms are cleaned and stocked, working toward maintaining a safe and clean environment. Upon clinician direction, the Medical Assistant is responsible for obtaining HMO referral authorization when needed. The medical assistant is responsible for maintaining CPR certification as well as complying with other hospital regulations. Candidates must have orthopedic experience.

 

Medical Scribe (24.18) .5 PT This position is responsible for joining doctors during patient exams, documenting data to include in electronic health records. Must have experience in family practice.

 

Radiology Technologist/CT Tech (80.18) .6 (Nights) This position is responsible for imaging anatomical information from a cross-sectional plane of the body, with each image generated by a computer synthesis of x-ray transmission data obtained in many different directions in a given plane. A CT Tech obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, addresses patient concerns, and performs a variety of specialized tasks involved in the performance of CT scans.

 

Registered Nurse – Surgery (81.18) FT This position is responsible to assist in the nursing care and preparation of surgical patients.  Participates in the preparation of reports relative to surgical procedures.  Functions as a member of the surgical team creating and maintaining a sterile field.  Directs proper care and storage of supplies and equipment used for operating room and the emergency room.  Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care in the immediate postoperative period. Mandatory call rotation requires 30 minute response time.

 

Registered Nurse – Med/Surg (55.17) PRN, (1.18) PRN, (34.18) PRN, (57.18) FT .9 (Nights), (92.18) FT .9 (Nights) This position is responsible to assess patient/family needs; plans, implements, evaluates, and coordinates care for patients. Participates in patient and family education. Provides leadership by working cooperatively with all ancillary and patient care team members. Consistently demonstrates standards of professional nursing practice in all clinic settings. Graduate of an accredited nursing program and currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio. CPR, ACLS, PALS certifications are required; Neonatal certification is recommended.

 

Registered Nurse - Emergency Dept. (40.17) 0.3 (Nights), (69.18) PRN This position is responsible to assess patient/family needs; plans, implements, evaluates, and coordinates care for patients. Participates in patient and family education. Provides leadership by working cooperatively with all ancillary and patient care team members. Consistently demonstrates standards of professional nursing practice. Graduate of an accredited nursing program and currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio. CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required; CPR, ACLS, and PALS, certifications are required with Neonatal certification is recommended. Prior emergency department hospital experience preferred.

 

New     Registered Nurse – OB (2.17) PRN, (51.18) PRN This position is responsible to provide a professional nursing assessment and the initiation of nursing care to patients presenting in the OB department. Determines the stages of labor of OB patients and the well-being of neonates. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to child-bearing women and newborn infants. Must have the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status, and interpret the appropriate information to identify each patient’s needs in relation to age, Hospital, and department policy. Communicates effectively with other departments for the continuity of care maintaining satisfactory relationships with physicians, ancillary departments, and other nursing units. Participates in all phases of education, maintenance of records, and review and enhancement of current policies, procedures, and skills. Graduate of an accredited nursing program and currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio. CPR and Neonatal certification are required; STABLE, ACLS and PALS certification required. Must successfully complete AWHONN within one year of hire.

 

New    Respiratory Therapist (87.18) PRN  This position is responsible for administering patient Respiratory therapy treatments within the scope of education, and in accordance to physician orders. Licensure required

 

Surgical Technologist (72.18) .8 (Days) This position is responsible to assist in the nursing care and preparation of surgical patients.  Functions as a member of the OR sterile team, creating and maintaining a sterile field and issuing instruments to surgeons. Maintains proper care and storage of supplies and equipment used for operating room and emergency room patient care. Mandatory call rotation requires 30 minute response time. Certification preferred

 

New     Unit Clerk – (85.18) .4 This position is responsible to provide general clerical, receptionist, and patient-related duties on the nursing unit. Works under the general direction of licensed nursing staff.

 

 

NON-CLINICAL

Helpdesk Associate (78.18) 1.0  This position is responsible for assisting team members with information system questions including, but not limited to telephones, computer systems, internet/intranet, cell phones, copiers, etc.

 

Payroll Coordinator (86.18) .4 This position is responsible to perform payroll related duties consisting of processing all documents required for input of payroll. Also responsible for employee time sheets and preparing reports for management as requested. Assist other team members with questions and issues on payroll related issues. Payroll experience preferred

 

New     Maintenance Tech II (90.18) 1.0 This position is responsible for upkeep of the facility and general repairs as directed. Also responsible for performing 2nd shift fire drills and responding to security issues/emergency issues.
